Willie T. Hatton, age 63, of Hatton Road, West Liberty, passed away Thursday, April 8, 2021, at his residence.
Born September 10, 1957, in West Liberty, he is the son of Thelma Louise Nickell Hatton of West Liberty and the late Thaddus Hatton. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Sheila Dawn Tillotson Hatton on February 24, 2016, and two sisters, Clyda Carpenter and Lois Phipps.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Lynn Whitt Hatton; a step son, William Lane Bailey; two step daughters, Marsha (Kevin) Mays and Daytona Bailey, all of West Liberty; one grandson, Ryan Dehaven; and one granddaughter, Kara Mays.
Other survivors include a brother, Wayne Hatton of Campton; a sister, Pamela Phipps of West Liberty; an aunt, Jan Nickell of Florida; honorary grandchildren, Lucas Clay Adkins and Sailor Brooke Adkins, and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was the owner and operator of Hatton Trucking Company and enjoyed riding horses, watching westerns, listening to classic rock, and especially spending time with his family. Willie was always smiling and loved telling jokes to make others laugh.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, April 11, 2021, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor JR Keeton officiating. Burial will follow in Keeton-Hatton Cemetery in West Liberty.
Pallbearers: Kevin Mays, Scott Patrick, Kevin Hatton, Tim Haney, Josh Keeton, and Tony Pettit.
Visitation will be from 12 noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, April 11, 2021, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
