William “Bill” Earl Fisher, age 70, of Ravenswood Road, Clearfield, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.
Born November 27, 1951, in Ashland, he was the son of the late Earl Fisher and Katherine Mabry Fisher. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Linda Lou Hall Fisher on June 3, 2006, and two sisters, Mary Lee Hamm and Charlotte Black.
He is survived by his wife, Marquita Bradley Fisher, whom he married October 21, 2011; one sister, Rosalie Thomas of Morehead; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; and other extended family and friends.
Bill, also known as “Willy”, started working at the early age of 14 at Layne’s Department Store. He later changed employment to the Morehead Sundry Store and was transferred to the Owingsville Sundry Store where he became manager for several years.
In the early nineties, Willy began his career with the Kentucky Department of Transportation where he worked for over 20 years and retired as time keeper. He and Marquita enjoyed going to the Lakeview Community Church together and attending singings at local area churches. He will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, January 23, 2022, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor James Allen and Pastor Eddie Dennison officiating. Burial will follow in New Alfrey Cemetery.
Pallbearers: David Burton, Mark Burton, Carlos Burton, Brian Burton, Phillip Black, and Ronnie Buckler.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
