William Scott Goforth

William Scott Goforth, age 62, of Poppy Mountain Road, Morehead, passed away Monday, March 30, 2026, at his residence.

Born February 23, 1964, in West Liberty, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Kenneth Goforth and Anna Ruth Perry Goforth Rudd. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Caleb Goforth, and one brother, Dean Haney.

Scott is survived by two sons, Ryan Luke Goforth of Berea, Kentucky, and Joshua Goforth of Tennessee; one brother, Bryan Goforth (Shawna) of Frenchburg, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Haley Goforth, Austin Goforth, Savannah Goforth, and Kolton Goforth; and Samantha Goforth of Morehead, whom Scott considered a daughter. He is also survived by extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.

Scott was a retired cable television lineman. He enjoyed riding ATVs, working on anything and everything, and most of all, spending time playing with his grandchildren.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

A gathering for family and friends will be held Saturday, April 4, 2026, from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals to assist family with funeral expenses.
