Willard Warren, Jr., age 80, of Bull Fork Road, Morehead, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.
Born December 5, 1940, in Rowan County, he was a son of the late Willard Lee Warren and Ethel Little Warren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Etta Darlene Warren Wooten, and two brothers, Richard Warren and infant Allen Warren.
Willard is survived by his wife of 33 years, Wanda Whitt Warren, whom he married November 17, 1987; three sons, Tony Warren (Michelle), Danny Warren, and Mark Warren (Pam), all of Morehead; three daughters, Cynthia Elam of Morehead, Tammy Warren (Todd Hamilton) of Sparta, and Amy Johnson (Stephen) of Morehead; 12 grandchildren, Dalton Warren, Tamara Walton, Tyler Warren, Ashley Archer, Kristie Sloan, Cody Elam, Mandy Elam, Taylor Hamilton, Tanner Hamilton, Caleb Johnson, Jasmin Johnson, Justin Hatfield; and numerous great grandchildren.
Other survivors include three brothers, Murvil “Red” Warren, Claude “Diddy Bo” Warren, and Jeff Warren, all of Morehead; a host of nieces and nephews; and a special Yorkie, Abby.
He retired in 1990 as foreman for S. J. Groves Construction Company in Indiana and was a member of Siloam First Church of God. Willard enjoyed fishing, hunting, and taking care of his horse.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, January 9, 2021, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Ron Gibson and Pastor Mark Caldwell officiating. Burial will follow in Siloam Cemetery. For those who want to participate virtually, the service will be live streamed at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Facebook page beginning at 11 a.m.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, January 8, 2021, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
