Delmas Wayne DeHart, age 68, of Castle Drive, Morehead, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2020, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.
Born July 29, 1951, in Elliott County, he was the son of the late Jesse Lee DeHart and Nellie Mae Trent DeHart. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Harlan DeHart, William Paul DeHart, and Glennis Ray DeHart, and one sister, Edna Stevens.
Wayne is survived by one daughter, Renée DeHart Ginter and husband Bryan of Morehead; two grandchildren, Dalton Ginter and Dakota Ginter; the mother of his daughter, Donna Andrea Tackett; three brothers, Edward DeHart and wife Jamie, Garrett DeHart, and Coy DeHart, all of Morehead; one sister, Chelma Hall and husband Don of Morehead; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Wayne was a former employee of Gene White Lumber Company, an employee of A. O. Smith in Mount Sterling for ten years, and a former owner of Wayne’s Auto Sales. He retired in 1993. Wayne was a trader and tinkerer and enjoyed riding his 4-wheeler, going on vacation, and most of all, spending time with family and friends. He attended Elliottville Baptist Church. Wayne will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 30, 2020, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Rev. Cecil Ison and Rev. Tracy Fannin officiating. (Live streaming of the service will begin at 2 p.m. on Northcutt & Son Facebook page.) Burial will follow in Mabry Cemetery, 100 Sand Gap Road, Morehead, KY 40351.
Pallbearers: Dalton Ginter, Eddie DeHart, Coy DeHart, Garrett DeHart, Tim Brown, Bobby Reynolds, Donnie Hall, and Don Hall.
Visitation will be 12 noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 30, 2020, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
