Virginia Maxine Wyant Harmon, 96, of N. Keenland Drive, Richmond, formerly of Morehead, passed away Sunday, November 21, 2021, at the Terrace Nursing & Rehab Center in Berea.
Born January 7, 1925, in Nitro, West Virginia, and was the daughter of the late Ephriam Wyant and Orga Reedy Wyant. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Virgil Jay Harmon, who passed away May 15, 2014.
She is survived by two sons, Edward Benjamin Harmon and wife Sharon of Versailles and Michael Paul Harmon of Richmond; one brother, Rev. Ray Wyant of Mt. Sterling; eight grandchildren, Tammy Redmond, Michelle Allen, Dawn Bilbrey, Brian Harmon, Kim Hash, Jeff Harmon, Emilie Williams, and Trent Harmon; eight great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
Virginia was a homemaker and supported her husband’s ministry for many years. She attended the Clearfield Tabernacle Church of God and enjoyed crocheting and gardening.
At Virginia’s request, private services will be conducted Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351 with Pastor Jeff Fannin officiating.
Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
