Tony Lynn Shelton

Tony Lynn Shelton, age 63, of Morehead, passed away Sunday, August 8, 2021, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.

Born December 20, 1957, in New Castle, Indiana, he was a son of the late Claude Shelton and Alice Marie Kissick Shelton.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a half-sister, Marcella Thompson; a half-brother, Russell Shelton; and his wife and high school sweetheart, Carol Jessee Shelton, who passed away March 23, 2016.

Tony is survived by one son, Darin Shelton; one daughter, Staci Montgomery and husband Travis; four grandchildren, Jerry Shelton, Trevor Montgomery, Avery Montgomery, and Alice Shelton, all of Morehead; one brother, Marvin Shelton of Marion, Indiana; one sister, Connie Petty of Anderson, Indiana; extended family and friends. 

Tony graduated from Chrysler High School in New Castle, Indiana, in 1976 and was employed in maintenance for more than 20 years at Creekside Realty in Morehead. He enjoyed simple things in life, fishing, camping, watching classic T.V. shows, and traveling to car shows with his son. Most of all, he loved family and getting hugs from his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed and remembered always.

A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Bill Grimes officiating.  Burial will follow in Bradley Cemetery in Soldier.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation for Tony Lynn Shelton will be from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
