Thelma Leadingham Conn, age 89, of Vincent Hollow, Olive Hill, Kentucky, was born March 24, 1933, in Carter County, and passed away Thursday, September 29, 2022, at St. Joseph Hospital in Mt. Sterling.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Anna Leadingham Day; the father of her children, Charles M. Conn; two sons, Timothy Conn and Charles Wayne Conn; one brother, Charles “Midge” Leadingham; and an infant sister, Velma Sue Day.
She is survived by five children, Chester R. Craft (Mollie) of Lexington, Ohio, Sherman P. Craft of Mansfield, Ohio, Sharry L. Armstrong of Lexington, Ohio, Terry K. Webb of Lexington, Ohio, and Virginia A. “Ginger” Conn (Shane Johnson) of Morehead; a daughter-in-law, Becky Conn of Olive Hill; 19 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
Other survivors include seven brothers and sisters, Wilma Gee, Bonnie Lane, Kenneth Day, Eddie Day, Paul Day, and Barb Jordan, all of Olive Hill, and Mary Jean Day of Morehead, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Thelma was a homemaker and former employee of Cowden Mfg., where she worked for 13 years. She was a dedicated mother who enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was of the Baptist faith.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, October 3, 2022, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Bobby Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Conn Cemetery on Henderson Ridge.
Visitation is from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, October 2, 2022, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
