Tammie Denise Winburn, age 58, of Hungry Hollow, Morehead, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2023, at her residence.
Born March 3, 1965, in Morehead, she is the daughter of Dennis and Carolyn Adkins Winburn of Morehead.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by one brother, Brian Todd Winburn and wife Melissa of Clarksville, Indiana; three nieces, Victoria Winburn, Payton Winburn, and Gabrielle Bully; and other extended family and friends.
Tammie graduated from Department of Defense High School in California and earned her paralegal degree from Morehead State University. She served four years in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Turkey. She was a former correctional officer in Arizona, an employee at Morehead State University Bookstore, and a customer service technician at AT & T in Grayson.
Tammie was a member of the Morehead First Church of the Nazarene, the Corbie Ellington American Legion Post No. 126, and the Disabled American Veterans (DAV). She loved her Australian Cattle Dog and Boxer mix “Newman”. Tammie will be remembered with love and missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Larry Compton officiating. Burial with follow at Brown Cemetery with full military honors by Morehead American Legion Post 126. Legion members will serve as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Jones, Tom Jones, Larry Coldiron, John Cox, Phil Cheesebrough, and Andy Patterson.
Visitation is from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Morehead American Legion Post 126, P.O. Box 58, Morehead, KY 40351.
