Talmadge Wayne Porter

Talmadge Wayne Porter, age 64, of Niles Ohio, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2020, at his home following a short illness.

Born November 18, 1955, in Grayson, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Lester Porter and Pearl Moore Porter. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Lucille Wagoner Porter; maternal grandparents, Bryant and Stella Wagoner Moore who raised him; paternal grandparents, George and Mary Boggs Porter; half-brother, Carl “Bo” Porter Sr.; and two half-sisters, Brenda Kay Porter and Sandra Faye Porter.

Talmadge is survived by his devoted aunt, Vada Parish with whom he made his home and her son Leslie Darion Parish and wife Nanette; half-brother Tim (Tina) Porter of Niles, Ohio, as well as several dear cousins and close friends. 

He was a delivery driver for Consumer Communication Service. In addition to his work, he enjoyed the outdoors--riding his bike, mowing grass, tinkering, or gardening were some of his favorite activities.  Family was precious to Talmadge as he was a loving brother, cousin, and uncle (known as Uncle TT to all the kids).  He was also a great friend to many.  Talmadge will be missed dearly and will remain in many hearts forever.    

Due to COVID-19 requirements set forth by Governor Andy Beshear, a private family service will be held Tuesday at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals followed by private burial at Barker Cemetery in Elliott County, Kentucky, with Pastor Rick Crank officiating.
