Sherry Terry Obituary

Sherry Boyd Lynn Terry, age 56, of Meadowlands Drive, Morehead, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2021, at her residence.

Born October 30, 1964, in Morehead, she is the daughter of James Buford Boyd of Owingsville and Betty Jean Stidam Lumpkins and husband Roy of Campton.

In addition to her parents, Sherry is survived by her three sons, Zach Jones (Aariel) and Austin Terry, all of Morehead and Michael Terry (Samantha) of Crab Orchard; one daughter, Tori Terry of Richmond; and five grandchildren, Hayden Christopher Lewis, Teysean David Scott Terry, Jensen Tucker Jones, Braxton Carl Barber, and Gabbriella Marie Terry.

Other survivors include one brother, John Wayne Clark (Debbie) of Soldier; two sisters, MaryAnn Stevens and Anna Boyd Lewis, both of Morehead; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family; and several close friends that are considered family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Christopher Dean Terry, on January 30, 2019.

She was a graduate of Rowan County High School and received her associate’s degree in business administration from Morehead State University. Sherry held many roles at Life Care Center in Morehead where she served as H.R. director, payroll manager, central supply supervisor, and accounts payable clerk for over 20 years. She was a member of Eastern Kentucky ATV Association and was an active and devoted member of the Rowan County Football Boosters.

Sherry had many hobbies and much love for sports, but her main “Love” was the Rowan County Vikings and cheering on her boys. She loved  the outdoors and enjoyed camping with family and friends, drinking an ice-cold Pepsi, cooking Sunday family breakfast, having game nights, and spending every moment with those she loved.

Her  children and grandchildren were always her greatest joy. She had a giving heart and would do anything to help another in need. Sherry was so loved by her community, coworkers, and family and will be greatly missed.
