Seelye Edward “Ed” Reynolds, 86, of Muses Mill Road, Wallingford, passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2019, at his home.
Born September 28, 1932, in New Castle, Indiana, he was the son of Espie and Vivian Hayes Reynolds. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Ammie Lorene Brown Reynolds, who passed away April 3, 1999; a son, Frank Edward Reynolds; a stepson, Marvin Arnett; and two brothers, Delmar and Virgil Reynolds.
Ed is survived by his wife, Lorena McClurg Arnett Reynolds; one daughter, Brenda Reynolds of Wallingford; two sons, Phillip Reynolds of Morehead and Dale Reynolds and his wife Connie of Wallingford; four stepchildren, Elwanda Cline, LaDonna Parish, Lynna Littleton, and Marlin Arnett, all of Bath County; one brother, Dale E. “Gene” Reynolds and his wife Ula “Tootsie” of Hillsboro; 4 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 9 step grandchildren; and 12 step great grandchildren.
Ed was a U.S. Army veteran and retired from New Castle Community School Corporation as a HVAC technician and maintenance supervisor. Ed was a devout Christian and for many years sang in a church gospel group while residing in Indiana. He always enjoyed singing gospel music and playing the guitar, traveling, whittling, and collecting model cars and John Deere tractors. Ed treasured his family, his Salt Lick Freewill Baptist Church family, and his many friends. He will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, June 15, 2019, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Andy Lands and Bro. Dale Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow in the Eldridge Cemetery on Bull Fork Road with full military honors presented by Morehead American Legion Post 126.
Pallbearers: Derek Reynolds, Patrick Delaney, Artie Parish, Russell Reynolds, Marlin Arnett, and Shane Flannery.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, June 14, 2019, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
