Samantha Jewell Lea Goodpaster

Samantha Jewell Lea Goodpaster, age 37 of Morehead, passed away Monday, April 18, 2022.

Born April 17, 1985, in Morehead, Samantha was the daughter of Sammy Goodpaster and Gail Jean Johnson Goodpaster of Morehead.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by two daughters, Sophia Nadine Goodpaster and Madelyn Mae Gray, both of Haldeman; three sisters, Ella (Tyler) Spence of Wellington, Cynthia Jane Hart of Soldier, and Julie Beamon of Morehead; one brother, Charles Goodpaster of Morehead; many nieces, nephews, and uncles; and other extended family and friends.

Samantha was preceded in death by a nephew, Charlie Meade on January 18, 2022.

She attended the Maysville Community & Technical College and was a certified nursing assistant.  Samantha was a friendly person who never met a stranger and was always willing to lift a hand to help others. She loved her family and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and traveling. Samantha will be greatly missed and remembered with love.

A celebration of life will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, April 25, 2022, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Saundra Nathanson officiating.

Visitation will be from 12 noon to 1 p.m. Monday, April 25, 2022, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that all contributions be made payable to Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals to assist with funeral expenses.
