Ruby Pauline Moore White, age 89, of Flag Branch Road, Hillsboro, passed away Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born March 28, 1931, in Morehead, she was a daughter of the late Elbert Edward Moore and Elizabeth Stidom Moore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Edward White, on April 13, 2000; one sister, Ruth Moore Gilkison; one brother, Wayne Edward Moore; one great grandson, Zachary Plank; and one nephew, Chris Moore.
Pauline is survived by one son, Paul Joseph White of Lancaster; three daughters, Debra White and Rebecca White Mitchell, both of Hillsboro and Patty White Little of Morehead; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and one sister, Naomi Joyce Moore of Morehead, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Pauline received her Bachelor of Arts, Master of Arts in Elementary Education, and Rank 1 from Morehead State University. She began her career in teaching at Tilden Hogge Elementary in Rowan County and retired from the Fleming County Board of Education where she taught first grade at Hillsboro Elementary for 24 years.
She was a member of the Morehead First Church of God and enjoyed fishing, cooking, gardening, and riding her John Deere Gator.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, March 27, 2021, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Allan Hutchinson and the Rev. Jeremy Halstead officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, March 26, 2021, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
