Ronnie Cole, age 61, of Morgan Fork, Morehead, passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.
Born November 20, 1959, in Johnson County, he was a son of the late Rufus Cole and Bessie Roark Cole. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Kay Oney Cole on March 21, 2015, and a brother, R.B. Cole.
He is survived by one son, Ronnie Cole, Jr.; one daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda Cole Adams and Cory, all of Morehead; and two grandchildren, Matthew Isiah Ratliff and Delilia Rose Cole.
Other survivors include his companion, Amanda Patrick of Morehead; two brothers, Johnny Cole of Morehead and Lonnie Cole and wife Tonya of Bardstown; one sister, Ershula Rohan and husband Mark of Lexington; and several nieces and nephews.
Ronnie was a self-employed transmission specialist and played in the family band Kentucky Blue Collar Band. He enjoyed dirt track racing and raced for more than 30 years passing down his racing knowledge to his son and grandson. Ronnie will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, September 26, 2021, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Travis Duncan officiating. Burial will follow in Adams-Cole Cemetery on KY 519.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, September 25, 2021, and from noon until 2 p. m. Sunday, September 26, 2021, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
