Ronald “Ronnie” Gene Adams, 64, of Morehead, KY, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2024, in Owingsville, KY.
Ronnie was born on March 6, 1960, in Fleming County, KY, son of the late Richard Lee Adams and Virginia Ruth Riley Adams. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Terry Adams, David Adams and Jerry Adams.
He is survived by his son, Eric Adams, and granddaughter, Riley Adams, both of Richmond, VA, along with three siblings: Tommy Adams (Jean) of Clearfield, KY, Sarah Adams, and Archie “Duke” Adams (Brenda), both of Morehead, KY, along with several nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Ronnie’s professional career was primarily in the manufacturing industry as a skilled welder in both Virginia and Kentucky. He was most prideful of his work at MacTavish Machine Manufacturing in Richmond, VA, becoming the lead welder, working to strengthen partnerships as far reaching as China, where he traveled in the early 90’s to share his experience in the trade. Personally, Ronnie enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, telling stories and wisecracks, always searching for the humor in any situation with a smile and laugh that could light up a room. He loved classic rock, guitars, old automobiles and in his later years, developed a love for Kentucky Basketball that he shared with his son, Eric.
A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 4:00 p.m., at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Senior Pastor Joe Cline officiating.
Visitation is from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
