Ronald Lee Cooper, age 83, of Clearfield, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at his home surrounded by his loved ones.
Born July 14, 1942, in Erie, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Merton Clair Cooper and Clara Iva Webster Cooper.
Ronald is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Agnes Sunde Cooper, whom he married on August 25, 1962; three daughters, Brenda Cooper of Irmo, South Carolina, Rhonda Poe (Cliff) of Mt. Dora, Florida, and Michelle Head (Larry) of Melbourne, Florida; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Other survivors include one brother, Dennis Cooper of Savannah, Georgia; two sisters, Bonnie Moore (Louie) of Columbia, South Carolina, and Cheryl Cooper of Savannah, Georgia; along with several nieces and nephews, extended family, his church family, and many friends.
Ronald was a former hotel night auditor and quite the handyman who enjoyed fixing things and working on various projects. He was an active member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Clearfield, where he served as a deacon and sang in the choir. He also enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and, most of all, spending time with his family.
His memory will be forever cherished by all who knew and loved him.
A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Fellowship Baptist Church, McBrayer Road, Clearfield, KY 40313, with the Reverend Dave Keeton and Brother Greg Hignite officiating.
