Roger Gene Plank

Roger G. Plank, age 61, of Kennedy Court, Morehead, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2020, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.

Born December 22, 1958, in Morehead, he was a son of the late Sam and Edna Conley Plank. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Patricia Fowler, and six brothers, Wilford, Wilburn, Charles, Jackie, Ervin, and Willis Plank.

He was survived by his wife of 42 years, Sylvia Wagoner Plank, whom he married June 18, 1978; two daughters, Heather Fultz (Travis) and Nikki Plank; one son, Casey Plank (Doreen), all of Morehead; 13 grandchildren; and one great grandson.

Other survivors include two sisters, Christine (Bob) Wagoner of Morehead and Sylvia (Bill) Boone of Salem, Virginia; five brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry (Valerie) Plank, Addie (Heather) Plank,  Curt (Ollie) Plank, Vincin (Madge) Plank, and Lonnie (Geraldine) Plank, all of Morehead; several nieces, nephews; and other relatives and friends.

Roger was a self-employed construction worker and enjoyed coon hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, July 6, 2020, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Cecil Ison officiating.  Burial will follow in Plank Family Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Travis Fultz, Caleb Harris, Phillip Moore, John Davenport, Dylan Moore, Eddie Holbrook, Keith Freeman, and Darrel Justin Logan.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, July 6, 2020, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.

COVID-19 regulations will be observed.
