Obituary

Roger Paul Berry, age 82, of Wellington, Kentucky, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 14, 2026, at his daughter's home.

Born March 26, 1944, in Frenchburg, Roger was a son of the late Earnest Berry and Lula Slater Berry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 32 years, LaVeta Spencer Berry; four brothers, Virgil Berry, Verl Berry, Buford Berry, and Charles Berry; and two sisters, Edna Merrell Lawson and Jean Miller.

Roger is survived by his two devoted daughters, Terisa Montgomery and Lisa Berry, both of Wellington; three grandchildren, Morgan Masters (Kayla), Ben Montgomery (Emily), and Spencer Masters; and four great-grandchildren, Burkleigh Masters, Teagon Masters, Janna Montgomery, and Jake Montgomery.

Other survivors include one sister, Janice Craft; brother-in-law, Mike Spencer (Patti), all of Frenchburg; sister-in-law, Jenny Franklin (Rick) of Paintsville; along with extended family members and many friends who will deeply miss him.

He was a retired tool-and-die maker for Brinkman in Dayton, Ohio. Roger enjoyed old cars, coon hunting, and especially spending time with his grandchildren. Roger and his wife were known for their generous hearts, helping many children in the community throughout the years. He will be remembered for his kindness, hard work, and the love he shared with those around him.

A celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 24, 2026, at 1242 Campfire & Dreams, 2270 Kendrick Ridge Road, Frenchburg, Kentucky 40322.
