Robert Shane Goodpaster

Robert Shane Goodpaster, age 49, of Hwy 519, Morehead, passed away Thursday, August 14, 2025, at the UK Medical Center in Lexington.

Born April 6, 1976, in Morehead, he was a son of the late Robert “Bobby” Goodpaster and Katheryn Blair Leach.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death one sister, Tonya Goodpaster.

Shane is survived by one son, Nikota Goodpaster, and one daughter, Katelyn Goodpaster, both of Morehead, and one sister, Gretchen Fraley and husband Mark of Haldeman. 

He also leaves behind to cherish his memory two nieces, Markayla Frei and Amanda Howard; one nephew, Nathan Fraley; two great nephews, Gabriel Hall and Ashton Frei; and numerous other family members and friends.

Shane was a former construction worker and truck driver.  He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, drawing, and most of all, spending time with family.  He will be greatly missed and remembered with love. 

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
