Richard Lee Gearhart

Richard Lee Gearhart, age 50, of Horizon Way, Morehead, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2026, at UK Medical Center in Lexington.

Born August 13, 1975, in Morehead, Richard was a son of the late Alfred L. Gearhart and Bertha Mae Ferguson Gearhart. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Lowell Ray Gearhart.

Richard is survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Lorne and Vanessa Gearhart of Globe; his companion, Christina McClain of Morehead; several nieces and nephews, as well as other extended family and friends.

He graduated from Morehead State University with a bachelor’s degree. Richard had a love for art and enjoyed playing X-box and cooking. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be 12 noon, Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Roy Lands officiating. Burial will follow at Gearhart Cemetery on Bens Run in Carter County.

 Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
