Reverend Clifford Harold Muse

Reverend Clifford Harold Muse, age 84, of Mount Sterling Road, Winchester, formerly of Morehead, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at U. K. HealthCare in Lexington.

Born March 14, 1936, in Fleming County, he was a son of the late William Richard Muse and Alma Ruth Cooper Muse.

Clifford is survived by his wife of 63 years, Oleta Jane Black Muse, whom he married December 22, 1957; one son, Eric Muse and wife Kelly of Winchester; one brother, Calvin Thomas Muse and wife Wanda of Flemingsburg; one sister, Brenda Carol Newsom and husband Billy of Muses Mill; four grandchildren, Nathan, Josh, Jose, and David Muse; several nieces and nephews; as well as extended family, including his church family, and friends.

Clifford was a veteran of the United States Army and a minister with the Kentucky Christian Conference for more than 60 years. He retired from Frito Lay after 25 years of service and  was a bus driver for the Rowan County Board of Education for 14 years.

A man of boundless faith and a Christian who lived by example, Clifford’s greatest mission was to lead people to the Lord. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  He will be remembered forever with love and respect.

Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, January 31, 2021, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jack Hinton and Brother Dale Collingsworth officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with full military honors by Morehead American Legion Post No. 126.

Pallbearers will be his four grandsons and Duran Bradley, Brent Bradley, Kyle Bradley, and Darby Muse. Honorary pallbearers will be Kentucky Christian Conference Ministers.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, January 30, 2021, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.

COVID-19 mandates will be observed including masks and social distancing.
