Rebecca Ann “Becca” Cockerham, age 40, of Hwy 1002, West Liberty, won her battle with cancer and gained her wings on Wednesday, April 1, 2020, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.
Born May 21, 1979, in Rowan County, she was the beloved daughter of Kenneth Wayne and Janice Callahan Cockerham. Her brother, Brian Fredrick Cockerham, preceded her in death on February 24, 1978.
In addition to her parents, she is also survived by numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Becca, with her contagious smile and big heart, enjoyed living life to the fullest. She loved her family and friends alike and was totally nonjudgmental of anyone she met. Becca thrived on the outside world—riding her Harley, caring for her horses or dogs, playing in the ocean, or sitting on the beach with family and friends brought her great joy. She was always thrilled to hang-out with her parents to eat a meal, help Mom cook, go fishing with Dad, watch a ballgame or vacation in Florida. A creative person, Becca was a self-employed woodburning artist. Her life had no boundaries. Her wonderful soul extended to her faith. A member of the House of Prayer, she especially loved playing the drums. Becca’s legacy will live on in those she met during her earthly journey. She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered.
Due to COVID-19 requirements set forth by Governor Andy Beshear, a private family service will be held Saturday, April 4, 2020, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals with Rev. Glenn Day and Tim Keeton officiating. Private burial will follow at Perry Cemetery at Blairs Mill.
Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351 is caring for arrangements.
