Ramona L. Stamm Adkins, age 83, of Midway, passed away Friday, January 28, 2022, in Versailles at the home of her daughter.
Born December 25, 1938, in Lewis County, she was the daughter of the late Charles Ezra Stamm, Sr., and Cora Gibbs Stamm. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter Vernon Adkins and Lloyd Stamm, and two sisters, Debbie Stamm and infant Bernice Stamm.
Ramona’s husband of 67 years, Lonnie Adkins, Jr. passed away May 16, 2021.
She is survived by two children, Anthony Wayne Adkins of Midway and Kathie Ann Wyatt (Bruce) of Versailles; two grandsons, Anthony Adkins, Jr., and Jason Lamb; three great grandchildren, Maelie Lamb, Huxton Lamb, and Bradley Adkins; one brother, Charles Stamm, Jr. (Brenda) of Clearfield; and two sisters, Aileen Reynolds and Phyllis Riddle, both of Morehead.
Ramona was an avid U.K. basketball fan, who was known as “Granny Wildcat.” A season ticket holder to the games, she treasured her autographed basketballs and was honored to have appeared on ESPN Game Day. She loved her many cruises with family and friends and enjoyed nature, watching hummingbirds, gardening, and nurturing her flowers. Ramona was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, who will be greatly missed and remembered with love.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel (400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351) with the Rev. Evan Rowe officiating. Following the funeral service, a graveside service and burial will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday at Midway Cemetery (431 W. Stephens St., Midway, KY 40347).
Pallbearers: Jason Lamb, Anthony Adkins, Anthony Adkins, Jr. Roy Michael Reynolds, Bruce Wyatt, Eddie Fultz.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, January 31, 2022, and after 9 a.m. Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
