Ralph Edward Meeks, age 68, of Hillsboro Road, Hillsboro, Kentucky, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at the James Cancer Hospital, in Columbus, Ohio, following an extended illness.
Ralph was born September 10, 1956, in West Hamlin, West Virginia, to the late Edward and Bonnie Mullins Meeks. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one infant brother, Rayburn Meeks.
Ralph is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Karen Lewis Meeks, whom he wed August 29, 1981, and their beloved son, Rayburne Douglas Meeks.
Others to cherish his memory include his sister, Bonnie Berger and husband Bob of Lester, West Virginia; numerous nieces and nephews and other extended family, including his church family; and many friends who loved him dearly.
Ralph retired from Worthington Industries in Columbus, Ohio, as a welder and machine maintenance employee. Following retirement, he and his family moved to Hillsboro, Kentucky, in 2019, where he relished “hanging out” in his garage working on classic cars and building hot rods. Ralph also greatly enjoyed teaching Rayburne about mechanics and giving him hands-on experience. Ralph was a faithful member of the Ohio Valley United Baptist Church, Wheelersburg, Ohio. He enjoyed attending church services and loved and appreciated his church family. He will be greatly missed and always lovingly remembered by those who knew him.
