Quenton Caudill Obituary

Quenton Caudill, age 92, of S. Willow Drive, Morehead, Kentucky, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 5, 2022.

 

Born May 26, 1930, on Bull Fork Road in Rowan County, he was the son of the late John D. Caudill and Nancy J. Eldridge Caudill.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Clarice Caudill, and three brothers, Eulas Caudill, twin brother Benton Caudill, and Ellis Caudill.

 

Quenton was also preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Flossie Jean Zeek Caudill, on December 14, 2000, and his son, Larry Quenton Caudill, on April 30, 1992.

 

He is survived by three daughters and their husbands:  Sandy Caudill (Jay) of Hillsboro, Bonnie Darbro Gibson (Jerry) of Morehead, and Angela Maggio (Vincent) of Morehead; five grandchildren:  Kimberley Kelsey, Kevin Caudill, Joshua Caudill, Kyle Darbro, and Logan Higginbotham; six great grandchildren:  Corey Kelsey, Quenna Kelsey, Brooklynn Caudill, Quenton Caudill, Cooper Darbro, and Jameson Caudill; and two great-great grandsons:  Colton Kelsey and Sawyer Kelsey.

 

Other survivors include a brother, Carl D. Caudill of Mechanicsville, Virginia; nieces and nephews; extended family and friends.

 

Quenton was the owner and manager of the Quenton Caudill Agency, Kentucky Farm Bureau, in Morehead for more than 50 years and a lifelong farmer.  He enjoyed coaching Little League Baseball (Giants), participating in community activities, and being a devoted husband, father and grandfather.  He was a faithful member of the United Baptist Church. 

 

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals with Elder Louie Baier, Elder Robbie Baier, and Elder Austin Knipp officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

 

Pallbearers will be Kevin Caudill, Joshua Caudill, Kyle Darbro, Logan Higginbotham, Corey Kelsey, and Tanner Branham.

 

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, June 6, 2022, with a church service beginning at 7 p.m. Monday.  Visitation will also be on Tuesday morning after eight o’clock at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
