Phyllis Nadine Adkins, age 78, of Triplett View in Morehead, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at UK St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.
Born July 27, 1947, in Sandy Hook, she was the only child of the late Berlin Adkins and Lora Emogene Wagoner. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Lora Michelle Hall.
She is survived by one son, Cody Whitt (Bridgette) of Union City, Tennessee; one daughter, Melissa Halbert of Morehead; one grandson, Dustin Halbert of Morehead; and her special great-grandson, Silas Lee Halbert.
Phyllis retired from the Allen’s IGA deli and had previously worked for Jim and Mary Powell at the Dairy Queen. She enjoyed getting out and going places, fishing, and spending time with her family. Above all, her greatest joy was the time she spent with her beloved great-grandson Silas.
In respecting with her wishes, there will be no visitation, and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
