Philip M. Cromer, age 68, of Cromer Road, Morehead, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2021, at U. K. Chandler Medical Center in Lexington.
Born February 5, 1952, in London, Kentucky, Philip was a son of the late Bennie Cromer and Rosie Mae Kilburn Cromer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Lynn Cromer on January 16, 2014, and four brothers, Elmer, Dennis, Mike, and Larry Cromer.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 51 years, Judy York Cromer, whom he married February 18, 1970; one son, Philip Wayne Cromer and wife Mary of Morehead, Kentucky; one daughter, Angela Cromer Hanna and husband Tim of Olive Hill, Kentucky; one sister, Kathy Metz of Wilder, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Tyler Cromer, Joshua Messer, Sabrina Rose, Ashley Evans, Paige Evans, and Joseph Wallace; eight great grandchildren, Zaden Messer, Zandra Messer, Rayden Rose, Rayla Rose, Raven Rose, Walker Robinson, Chloe Roberts, and Liam Messer; several nieces and nephews; and extended family members and friends.
Philip was a former farm manger and enjoyed watching his grandson drag race, going 4-wheeling with his family, and spending time with his family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at Northcutt & Son Memorial Chapel with Brother Larry Turner officiating. Burial will follow in Turner Memorial Cemetery on Little Perry Road.
Pallbearers will be Philip Wayne Cromer, Gene Zeigler, Randy Zeigler, Tony Zeigler, Joe Wallace, Rick Messer, Joshua Messer, and Casey Rose.
Visitation is from 6 p. m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, January 19, 2021, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
