Paul Henderson

Paul Henderson, age 72, of Morehead, Kentucky, was born December 20, 1951, in Haldeman, Kentucky, and passed away Friday, August 16, 2024, at his home.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Myrtle Loretta Henderson Smith; his maternal grandparents, Adam and Edna Henderson; and several aunts and uncles.

Paul is survived by an aunt, Sharon Kidd and husband David, and an uncle, Frank Henderson and wife Janice, all of Morehead, Kentucky, as well as cousins, other relatives and friends. 

Paul retired from the Rowan County Detention Center, was a former construction worker, and was well known for raising, training, and showing Tennessee Walking horses.  He enjoyed working on horse farms in several states, including Kentucky, and was recognized with various awards through the years.   He also enjoyed hunting, farming, raising chickens, and going to Lee’s Used Cars every day to “carry on” with his friends.  Paul will be greatly missed.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, August 25, 2024, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Poppy Mountain at the High Top Lounge.
