Paul Edward Graves

Paul E. Graves, 82, of Poneto, IN, passed away at 2:42 PM on Tuesday, April 16, 2019, at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne, IN.
He was born on Sunday, January 24, 1937 in Ewing, Kentucky, and was a son of the late George Mason Graves and Onie Lee Graves. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Paula Joyce Rogers; great granddaughter, Makenna G. Rogers; sister, Ramona Dunaway, and three brothers, Carl Thomas Graves, George Mason Graves II, and Joseph Glen Graves, and two sons in law, William Rogers, and Kevin Wiles.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 62 years, Naomi "Christine" (Gray) Graves, whom he married March 16, 1957; daughter, Brenda Darlene Wiles of Oshkosh, Wisconsin; son, Mark Edward (April) Graves of Cincinnati, Ohio; two granddaughters, Amy Lynn (Ian) Rust of Greentown, Indiana, and Stephanie Ann (Joey) Villanueva of Bluffton, Indiana; two grandsons, William (Lindsey) Rogers of Hartford City, Indiana, and Kris Rogers of Hartford City, Indiana; close friend, Dennis (Rita) Roush; and 12 great grandchildren.
Paul served his country in the US Army and retired from Franklin Electric after 38 years of service. He attended school in Ewing and attended Union Chapel Church of the Nazarene. Paul enjoyed spending time with his family as well as with his church family, deer hunting, woodworking, growing a garden, and IU basketball.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home 109 W. Windsor St. Montpelier, IN. 47359 on Friday, April 19, 2019, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 p.m.
A service to celebrate his life will follow at 5:00 p.m. at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home with Pastor Wilbur Taylor officiating. Interment will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2019, at the Hillsboro Cemetery, Hillsboro, KY.
