Patricia Jane (Leader) Farnell

Patricia Jane Leader Farnell, 84, passed away February 7, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents Henry Joseph Leader and Madeline Erdine Sechrist Leader, husband Aaron Hurst Farnell and sister Nancy Lee Leader Carmody.  She is survived by Bob, Sandy, Karl, Lucy, Kirsten and Camilla Lindahl; by Mike, Kim, Erin and Megan Carmody; by several Southern in-laws and by a fur baby, Coco.

Her degrees are from Dallastown High School, Lebanon Valley College and University of Pittsburgh.  After leaving Pennsylvania she was a research chemist at Picatinny Arsenal in New Jersey utilizing her pyromaniac interests in projects such as rescue signal-flares.

After retiring to Morehead, Kentucky, her activities included Habitat for Humanity, Morehead Women’s Club, Foster Care Review Board, the Episcopal church and computer games.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on March 25, 2023, at the Church of the Ascension, 48 West High Street, Mr. Sterling, KY 40353. Family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m.
