Nugget Jean Gregory

Nugget Jean Gregory, age 53, of Morehead, went home to be with the Lord Monday, January 18, 2021, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.

Born December 5, 1967, in New Castle, Indiana, Nugget is the daughter of Willie Gregory of Hillsboro and the late Bonnie Gregory. 

In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband, Randy Trent; one daughter, Shalynn Trent of Clearfield; one son, Jason Stephens of Morehead; three brothers, Dewayne Gregory of Salt Lick, Rodney Gregory of Morehead, and Mike Morgan of Chicago, Illinois; one sister, Cindy Jones of Barbourville; one step sister, Tina Stillwell of New Castle, Indiana; three grandchildren, Mason Peters, Lyla Oney, and Sophie Wasson; a special aunt, Sandy Justice of Indiana; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Duane Stephens, and her step mother, Judy Louise Hoover Gregory.

Nugget was a beautician and a member of Little Mary Baptist Church. She loved being in the outdoors and enjoyed hiking, camping, crocheting, gardening, and especially spending time with her grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, January 23, 2021, at Little Mary Baptist Church with Brother Michael Spurlock, Brother Jason Varney, and Brother Ashley Kidd officiating.  Burial will follow in Little Mary Cemetery.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, January 22, 2021, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351 and 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, January 23, 2021, at Little Mary Baptist Church, Maxey Flat Road, Hillsboro, KY 41049.

COVID-19 mandates will be observed including masks and social distancing.
