Nancy Lee (Plank) Lambert

Nancy Lee Plank Lambert, age 76, of Plank Lane, Morehead, passed away Saturday, August 15, 2020, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.

Born August 21, 1943, in Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late Luke Plank and Eula Mae Clark Plank.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Dean Lambert on August 28, 1992; her daughter, Sherry Lynn Lambert Harris; her great-granddaughter, Allison McKenzie Hamilton; her brother, Billie Plank; her sister, Naomi Sue Plank; her nephew, Michael Plank; and her niece, Tracy Justice.

Nancy is survived by her daughter, Tawni Donahue and husband Tim of Morehead and her son, Bo Lambert and wife Leigh Ann of Hillsboro; five grandchildren, Joseph Flatt of Morehead, Jessica Cropper and husband Jarrod of Georgetown, Dylan Lambert of Hillsboro, and Alexandra Lambert of Morehead and Jodi Jackson and husband Jim of Indiana; nine great-grandchildren, Mason, Lucas, Patrick, Charlie, Cory, and Robert Flatt, Johnathan and MacKenzie Cropper and John Jackson.

Also surviving are two sisters, Judy Meadows and Sarah Jane and Ken Howard of Morehead; six brothers, Donnie and Anna Mary Plank, Jackie Plank, Dallas Plank, Rodney and Terry Plank, and Nicky Plank, all of Morehead, and Gary and Fredia Plank of Vanceburg; sister-in-law, Berchie Plank, as well as nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

Nancy worked over 30 years under several different owners of Battson Drug and Total Care Pharmacy.  She is loved by her many customers and co-workers, many of whom have become special friends.  Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends.

Her family will serve as pallbearers.

A public graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, August 17, 2020, at the Adams-Plank Church shelter at Plank Lane on Cranston Road with Pastor Rick Crank and Pastor Cecil Ison officiating.  At Nancy’s request, there is no visitation.
