Michael Rayce Caniff, age 27, of McBrayer Road, Clearfield, passed away Saturday, July 17, 2021, at his residence.
Born October 5, 1993, in Ironton, Ohio, he was the son of the late Timothy Michael Caniff and Debra Stamper Osborn of Clearfield and her husband, Volney Skaggs.
In addition to his mother and stepfather, Michael is survived by his two-year-old daughter, Chloe Elizabeth Raylin Caniff; two brothers, Mike Caniff of Reno, Nevada, and Josh Caniff of Tampa, Florida; one stepbrother, Shawn Skaggs of Carlisle; one sister, Amanda White and husband Fred of Newport, Michigan; one niece, Gwendolyn White; extended family and friends.
Michael graduated from Raceland High School in 2012 and attended Maysville Community and Technical College. He had been a law enforcement officer in Boyd, Montgomery, Elliott, and Bourbon counties and was currently an employee at Family Dollar Distribution. He was an avid U.K. basketball fan, loved guns, collecting die-cast cars and reading. He will be greatly missed.
Graveside services and interment will be held 3:30 p.m. Thursday, July 22, 2021, at New Alfrey Cemetery with the Rev. Michael Anderson officiating.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Thursday, July 22, 2021, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
