Michael "Mike" Besselman

We mournfully announce the passing of Michael (Mike) Besselman, 40, of Morehead, KY. Mike passed away on July 14, 2022, after a hard-fought battle with cancer. He is survived by his brothers, Robert (Leslie) and Scott (Kelli); his sister, Nicole (Eric); his niece/daughter, Lizzy; and his nephews, Robbie, Wesley, Asher, Adin, and Preston.

Mike, born to Kathy L. and Robert S. Besselman, took his first breath on September 9th, 1981. Mike graduated from Augusta High School in 2000. 

While Mike never married, he lived a full and vibrant life with more friends than you could count. His nephews and nieces meant more to him than words can describe. Mike had custody of his niece, Lizzy, whom he loved as a daughter.

Mike worked customer service at Wal-Mart in the electronics department until his diagnosis. Mike devoted most of his time to his family, his dogs, and friends, playing video games, and being outdoors. We will miss him dearly.

Mike’s last wishes were to be cremated and wished for his family and friends to remember him as he was before he got sick and how much he loved and cherished them. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to his GoFundMe link at https://gofund.me/79fa57d0 to help with final expenses.
