Mary Alice Slone Dillon, 80, passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2020, surrounded by loved ones at her Clearfield home.
Born February 9, 1940, in Rowan County, she was a daughter of the late James Britton (Britt) Slone and Rachel Fultz Slone. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings Dewey, Lola, Jack, John Henry, Orville, Dovie, and Lee. She was the baby of the family and the last of them to pass.
Mary is survived by her husband of 65 years, Ivan Dillon; two sons, Michael Dillon and Kenneth (Nancy) Dillon; one daughter,Teresa (Duane) Wilson, all of Clearfield; eight grandchildren, Amie (Jody) Davis, Rachael (Justin) Childers, Brandon (Kellie) Dillon, Matthew (Julie) Dillon, Adam (Jennifer) Dillon, Blake (Mykaylee) Dillon, Christopher Wilson, and Eric (Whitney) Wilson; 15 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Mary was a very loving, free-hearted person who enjoyed sharing her cooking skills to bring family and friends together around the table. She enjoyed fishing, camping, and was a big UK basketball fan.
She was a member of Clearfield Baptist Church where she was once part of the Ladies Circle Charity group.
Mary had a great sense of humor and a very generous heart to all in need throughout her life. She was a very special light in many lives and will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
Private funeral services will be conducted Friday, November 27, 2020, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Steven Stanley officiating. Burial will follow in Crix Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Blake Dillon, Adam Dillon, Nicholas Dillon, Christopher Wilson, Eric Wilson, and Jody Davis.
