Mary Frances Allred

Mary Frances Allred, age 81, of Morehead, Kentucky, went to be with the Lord on January 8, 2026, at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.

Mary was born March 6, 1944, in Dowagiac, Michigan, a daughter of Raymond and Buler Brewer.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Shirley Goodson, and one brother, Raymond Brewer.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory a devoted daughter, Cathie Persinger; two beloved grandchildren, Alesha Persinger and Phillip Persinger (Tracy), and their father, Bobby Persinger; six treasured great-grandchildren, Alexis Bolton (Cody), Trenton Gentry, Baylee Persinger, Nolan Persinger, Abel Persinger, and Wyatt Persinger; and one precious great-great granddaughter, Bralie Bolton. 

Other survivors include two sisters, Aileen Hutchings and Virginia Adair, as well as extended family and friends.

Mary’s life focused primarily on her family and her church.  She loved her family unconditionally and cherished her grandchildren most of all. She gladly granted their every request. She loved gardening, canning, and making quilts. A natural tinkerer, she also took great pride in manicuring her yard and growing beautiful flowers for everyone to enjoy.  A Christian, she enjoyed attending church and participating in church activities. 

She will be lovingly remembered as a devoted and cherished mother and Nanny, whose legacy will endure.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, January 12, 2026, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Matt Richardson presiding and family participating.  The service will be livestreamed at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Facebook page beginning at 1 p.m.

Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, January 12, 2026, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
