Obituary

Marvin Clifton Adkins of Holt, Florida, was born April 1, 1963, and passed away Sunday, April 30, 2023, at Fort Walton Destin Hospital.

Marvin was raised in Morehead, Kentucky, where he became very well-known as one of the best athletes around in his teenage years, especially football. He was always as strong as an ox and some referred to him as “The Destroyer” or “Marvelous Marvin.”

He loved his family very much and was crazy about his kids and grandkids.

Marvin was preceded in death by his father Avery Adkins Sr. and his one and only son, Marvin James Adkins.

Survivors include his mother, Zelma Adkins of Morehead; a sister, Sara McMahan of Lewis County; a brother, AJ (Lisa) Adkins of Morehead; two daughters, Cyndi Jo (Tucker) Adkins of Morehead and Ashley Rose Adkins of Colorado; a niece, Shelia Adkins of Wilmington, NC; two beautiful granddaughters, Kaylee and Gabby; and one handsome grandson, Avery.  He also leaves behind a host of other special family friends.

Celebration of life arrangements will be set at a later date.
