Martha Leigh Hall, age 74, of Lexington, Kentucky, formerly of Frankfort, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
She was born August 6, 1948, in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of the late George Clarence Hall, Jr., and Carol Leigh Patrick Hall.
Martha is survived by three siblings: Marynelle Spear (Philip) of Haverford, PA, George Franklin Hall (Edith) of Levittown, PA, and John Thomas Hall (Carole) of Martins Creek, PA; six nieces and nephews: Jennifer Amato, Elizabeth Spear, Timothy Hall, Emily Wheeler, Megan Fitzgerald, and Melanie Hall; four great nieces and nephews; extended family and friends.
As a child Martha enjoyed summer visits to the home of her grandparents on Third Street in Morehead. Later she graduated from Morehead State University. After receiving a master’s degree from the University of South Carolina, she worked for thirty years for the Kentucky Department of Environmental Protection.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Dr. J. D. Reeder officiating. The service will be livestreamed at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Facebook page beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Lee Cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the service at 11 a.m. on May 31, 2023, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
