Marianne Catena Skaggs, age 27, of U.S. Highway 60 East, Morehead, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, February 25, 2021, at her residence.
She was born July 10, 1993, in Morehead, and is a daughter of Laura Anne Totich Skaggs of Flemingsburg and Arthur Dallas Skaggs, who preceded her in death on March 16, 2005.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by the love of her life and soulmate, Derrick Brown; two sons, Derrick Dallas Jessie Brown and Dalton David Parker Brown, both at home; one brother, Carmine Daniel Totich of Morehead; four sisters, Ashley Caudill of Morehead, Emily Lavoie of Grayson, Denise Conn of Olive Hill, and Shelly Bailey of Grahn; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
Marianne was a 2011 graduate of Rowan County Senior High School and a 2016 graduate of Maysville Community Technical College. She was a mother and homemaker whose love for Derrick and her children was beyond measure. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her and will always be remembered with love.
A celebration of life will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, March 1, 2021, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Elder Austin Knipp officiating. Burial will follow in Caudill Cemetery on Sharkey Road. Those who wish to participate virtually may join live streaming of the service at 2 p.m. on Northcutt & Son Facebook page.
Pallbearers: Daniel Totich, B. J. Branham, William Jessie, Sammy Conn, David Burton, and Jerry Bryant.
Visitation will be from 12 noon to 2 p.m. Monday, March 1, 2021, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
