Margaret (Suplee) Stokley

Margaret Suplee Stokley, age 76, formerly of Kormendy Court, Morehead, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2019, at her home in Bloomfield.

Born April 27, 1943, in Camden, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late William Jones Suplee and Ruth Vorhees Dawson Suplee.

Her beloved husband of 53 years, Ronald Neil Stokley, preceded her in death on April 18, 2015.

Margaret is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Grant Matthew and Shana Stokley of Bloomfield; one sister, Nancy Stitzel of Middletown, Ohio; one brother, Robert Suplee of Inverness, Florida; four grandchildren, Chantelle, Ezel, Erika, and Christa; nine great grandchildren, Kendric, Greyson, Raegan, Conner, Zoey, Aurora, Cora, Preston, and Aiden. 

Margaret retired from Morehead State University in.  While living in Morehead, she was actively involved as a volunteer, board member, and past president of Morehead Gateway Helping Hands and was passionate about helping in numerous ways at her church, Morehead First Church of God.  She was a “people person” who was always eager to assist others.  Margaret adored her family, as well as her canine friends, whom she considered family.  She will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed. 

A memorial service will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, January 6, 2020. at Morehead First Church of God with the Rev. Jeremy Halstead officiating.
