Mabel Hickey Collett Johnson, 68, of Spencer Road, Mt. Sterling, passed away Thursday, July 8, 2021, at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
She was born June 6, 1953, in Jellico, Tennessee, and was a daughter of the late John Preston Hickey and Beulah Peace Hickey.
Mabel is survived by her husband, Sam Johnson; a daughter, Kristin Noel Collett (Kalani Smith) of Winchester; a stepson, Franklin Johnson (Lisa Lutes) of Clay City; and three grandchildren, Avari Smith, Gabriel Smith and Lacey Jean Johnson.
Other survivors include a brother, Larry Peace of Virginia; a sister, June Depew of Ohio; several nieces and nephews; and other extended family and friends.
Mabel was a homemaker and a former employee of General Electric, Montgomery County Regional Jail, and Precision Resources.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, July 12, 2021, at the Antioch Christian Church with Tommy Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Johnson – Chambers Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Jason Johnson, Franklin Johnson, Jimmy Trent, Charlie Thomas, Ryan Young, and Kalani Smith.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, July 12, 2021, at the Antioch Christian Church, 3800 Bedford Road, Mt. Sterling, KY 40353.
