Louis Raymond "Lou" Combess, age 85, of Aberdeen, Ohio, passed away Thursday, November 21, 2024, at Hospice of Hope in Maysville.

Louis proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps for four years and was honorably discharged as a Corporal in 1961. He served on the South Atlantic Fleet Force, was a mechanical engineer, a 2nd Marine Division, and the 8th Engineers.

He was the owner and operator of Lou’s American Home Center Sales & Transit Company from 1986 to 2002,  and was a former employee at Morehead State University for five years.  Louis was an active member of El Hasa Shriners and a member of Morehead Masonic Lodge No. 654.

Lou loved working with the Shriners and enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, making funnel cakes, watching UK basketball and the Bengals. He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.
