Loretta (Vice) Justice

Loretta Vice Justice, age 86, of Frankfort, KY, formerly of Hillsboro, KY, passed away Friday, October 27, 2023, at Ashton Grove in Georgetown, KY.

Born January 27, 1937, in Hillsboro, KY, Loretta was the daughter of the late Lloyd Vice and Frances Hurst Vice.  She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Neolin “Toad” Vice and Wendell Vice, and one sister, Mary Lloyd Crain.

Her husband of 32 years, Joe H. Justice, Jr., passed away on June 28, 2002, and a son, Michael Justice, on September 22, 2023.  

She is survived by three children to cherish her memory:  Johnny Saunders (Lori) of Georgetown, KY, Joe H. Justice III (Angela) of Auburn, GA, and Tony Justice of Florida; one sister, Bernita Porter of Flemingsburg, KY; eleven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; nieces, cousins, and friends.

Loretta was a former employee for the KY Department of Highways, District Office 9 in Flemingsburg, KY and an office manager for Justice Engineering in Frankfort, KY. She greatly enjoyed being an active volunteer in community, church, and school functions for many years.  She attended Graefenburg Christian Church in Frankfort and was a member of Hillsboro Christian Church. 

Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at Hutton Funeral Home (7634 Hillsboro Road, Hillsboro, KY 41049).  A funeral service with Brother Gerald Saunders will begin at 2 p.m.

Burial will follow at Hillsboro Cemetery with Johnny Saunders, Jonathon Saunders, Jordan Saunders, Donnie Christman, Todd Johnson, Danny Lewis, and Gerald Saunders serving as pallbearers. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hillsboro Christian Church, 85 Denton Street, Hillsboro, KY 41049 or Bluegrass Hospice Care, Cynthiana Office, 1317 US Hwy 62E, Cynthiana KY 41031.
