Linden Gilbert Trent

Linden Gilbert Trent, age 74, of Hillsboro, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at UK St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead following a brief illness.

Born September 23, 1951, in Rowan County, he was a son of the late Cebert Trent and Cordie Arnold Trent Snipes. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father- and mother-in-law, Herbert and Charlotte Crain Jolly; his favorite canine companion, Penny; and his beloved feline companions, Roy, Prissy, and George.

Linden is survived by his loving wife, Pamela Jane Jolly Trent; one brother, Bobby Trent and his wife, Cindy; one sister, Kathy Riddle and her husband, Terry; a niece and nephew, Amy Riddle and David Trent, all of Morehead; his best friend, Steve Egan of Hillsboro; and a special feline companion, “Little Darling.”

Linden was a retired heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed watching wildlife, caring for his martin birds, and spending time watching Westerns. He will be remembered for his quiet nature and love for his family and animals.

In accordance with his wishes, there will be no visitation or services, and cremation will be observed.
