Linda Carol Sexton Jones, age 80, of Jones Ridge, Clearfield, Kentucky, passed away Monday, August 4, 2025, at UK St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead, Kentucky, surrounded by loved ones.

Born September 5, 1944, in Wyandotte, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Estill Sexton and Juanita Williams Sexton. 

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Harold Gene Jones, on February 10, 2017, and her son, Billy Sexton, on August 12, 2018.

Linda is survived by one daughter, Kathy Jones (and Clyde Clevenger) of Clearfield; one son, Tony Jones (and Sherry) of Clearfield; one grandson, Terry Whitt, Jr. (and Chelsea); two step granddaughters, Violet Clevenger and Abbi Clevenger; five great grandchildren, Elijah Whitt, Emma Whitt, Madilyn Whitt, Brynlee Whitt, and Trenton Whitt; and three step great grandchildren, Haisley, Hudson, and Tucker Clevenger.

Other survivors include one sister, Sue Mabry (and Frank) of Clearfield; extended family and friends. 

Linda was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, who loved her family. She especially enjoyed visiting with her grandchildren and making special memories.  She also enjoyed camping, working puzzles and taking care of her dogs. Linda will be missed and remembered with love.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 8, 2025, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Greg Bowman and Brother Carlos Bowman officiating.  Burial will follow in Jones Cemetery on Jones Ridge.

Pallbearers will be Terry Whitt, Jr., Tony Jones, Clyde Clevenger, Ernie Wallace, Leonard Young, Greg Bowman.  Honorary pallbearers will be Elijah Whitt, Trenton Whitt and Randy Cox.

Visitation for Linda Sexton Jones will be Thursday, August 7, 2025, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351
