Lillian Blakeley

Lillian Easterwood Blakeley, age 85, of New Hill, North Carolina, passed away peacefully Friday, April 17, 2026, at her daughter’s home on Wallingford Road, Flemingsburg, Kentucky.

Born March 6, 1941, in LaGrange, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Charles L. Easterwood and Obera Green Easterwood. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Jerry Waylon Blakeley, Sr., who passed away October 16, 2021; one brother, Gerald Easterwood; and a son-in-law, Paul Bumgardner.

Lillian is survived by her son, Jerry Waylon Blakeley, Jr. and wife Tonja of New Hill, North Carolina; her daughter, Donna B. Bumgardner of Flemingsburg, Kentucky; one brother, Roger Easterwood of LaGrange, Georgia; three grandchildren, Ashley Blakeley, Candace Blakeley, and Conner Johnston; and three great-grandchildren, Carson, Adam, and Sophia.

She was a retired claims adjuster for Nationwide Insurance Company in Raleigh, North Carolina. Following her retirement, she and her husband spent 20 years traveling in their motorhome, journeying from the East Coast to the West Coast, seeing the sights and making cherished memories along the way.

She will be greatly missed, and her life and experiences will continue to be shared through her children and family.

At her request, no visitation or funeral services are planned.
