Lila Allison (Miles) Davis

Lila Allison Miles Davis, age 95, of Sandy Hook, KY, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at UK-St. Claire Medical Center in Morehead, KY, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born February 13, 1929, in Morgan County, KY, and was a daughter of the late Frank and Hattie Easterling Miles.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Marvin Lee Wilson; her second husband, Edward Maxey Davis; three sisters, Ava Cantrell, Vivian Hale, Elizabeth Wilson; and one infant son. 

She is survived by one daughter, Emogene “Jeannie” Pennington, and husband Charles.  Also survived by one bonus daughter, Gina Day, and husband Randy.

Her surviving grandchildren are:  Cheryl Jean Fannin and husband Robbie, Charles Ray Pennington and wife Angela; Randa Ramey and husband Shane, Adam Day and wife Kayla.

Lila has 10 surviving great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Lila was of the Baptist faith and was baptized in February 1974.  She worked at Cowden Manufacturing Company for 23 years.  She enjoyed being a homemaker and decorating.  She loved shopping trips and spending time with her family and friends.  Lila will be greatly missed and remembered with love. 

Visitation for family will be Sunday, January 12, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 12 noon and public visitation from noon to 1 p.m. at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals (400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351). Following visitation, funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. on Sunday with Brothers Dean Ball and Cole Kiser officiating. The service will be live streamed at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Facebook page beginning at 1 p.m. 

Burial will follow at Blair Cemetery on Blair Ridge Road in Morgan County.  Pallbearers: Charles Ray Pennington, Robbie Fannin, Laden Delawder, Adam Day, Caleb Ball, Tommy Lykins, Ryan Eldridge, Javen Smallwood, Cole Kiser.
