Leslyn Elizabeth Spaulding, age 28, of Belfrey, Kentucky, passed away Monday, December 23, 2024, due to a tragic accident.

She was born April 21, 1996, in Durham, North Carolina, and is the daughter of Johnnie Y. Spaulding and Leslyn Henderson Spaulding of Morehead.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her fiancé, Anthony Graham Evans; her one son, Leslie James Evans; her one daughter, Isabel Mariko Jane Spaulding, all of Belfrey; and her closest siblings, Justin Eric “Justy” Spaulding and Kathryn Isabella “Bells” Spaulding, both of Lexington. 

Other survivors include a brother, John Tanner Spaulding of Lexington; two sisters, Dianne Nichole Colman and Jessica Mariko Wilson, both of Ashland; maternal grandmother, Vada Lou Henderson of Grayson; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunt, uncles, cousins, and friends. 

Bizzy, as she was known to those closest to her, was a cherished and beloved member of her family. She was a vibrant spirit known for her infectious energy, her authenticity and her kind heart. She was the life of the party, always bringing joy and laughter to those around her. Bizzy possessed a unique blend of creativity and passion as a gifted singer, artist, and performer, expressing her vibrant spirit through her art.

Bizzy was deeply devoted to her family and friends. She was always ready to lend a hand to support those that she loved. Her love and unwavering loyalty and dedication to her children were evident in all that she did. She ensured that her children were always provided for and felt loved and supported. 

Her light will shine brightly forever in the hearts of those that loved her.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Les Henderson, Sr.; paternal grandparents, Donald and Mariko Spaulding; and two special uncles, Nathan Henderson and Mike Spaulding.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.  A celebration of life will be held immediately following at 6 p.m.  with Elizabeth’s dad Johnnie Spaulding officiating.
