Leona Smith Obituary

 

Leona Mae Reynolds Smith, age 86, of Blairs Mill, West Liberty, passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2020, at the Life Care Center in Morehead.

 

Born December 10, 1933, in Elliott County, she was a daughter of the late Elmer Reynolds and Arizona “Zona” Mays Reynolds.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Earl Smith; one daughter, Vickie Smith Bolin; one son, Roger Paul Smith; one brother, Elmer Wayne Reynolds; and one sister, Unadell Howard.

 

Mrs. Smith is survived by two sons, Arlie Smith and Tim Smith and wife Renée, all of Blairs Mill; one daughter, Elvona Litton of Sandy Hook; daughter-in-law, Donna Smith of Morehead; son-in-law, Johnny Bolin of West Liberty, six grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

 

Other survivors include one brother, Randall Reynolds of Tennessee; two sisters, Barbara Smith of Elliott County and Donna Kay Kegley of Springfield, Ohio; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

 

She was a homemaker and a member of the Oak Hill Church of God.

 

Leona was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will live on in the hearts of her family.  She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all.

 

Private funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, November 20, 2020, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Gary Madden officiating. For those who want to participate virtually, the service will be live streamed at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Facebook page beginning at 1 p.m.  Burial will follow in Howard Cemetery in Elliott County.  

 

Pallbearers:  Keith Smith, Kordell Smith, Troy Wayne Howard, Ethan Bolin, Jason Litton, Wyatt Glover, and Scott Hammond.
